Explore the area around Cormeilles, located in the Pays d’Auge in the heart of a characterful Normandy.
Cormeilles, a town with authentic Norman charm, has kept traces of its rich past: castles, manor houses, wash houses, Romanesque churches, and houses dating back to the 15th, 16th and 18th centuries. Follow our themed routes to explore the villages that make up this endearing region, which also benefits from the Pays d'Auge's typical resources in terms of natural heritage and provides diverse natural environments: valleys, plateaus, hillsides; the river Calonne with its varied aquatic plants that are home to numerous protected species and whose upper basin is listed a Natura 2000 protected site. It is worth mentioning that Cormeilles was awarded the "Station Verte" (Green Holiday Resort) certification. There is a wide range of outdoor leisure activities to make your stay fun: more than 110 km of signposted hiking trails, numerous horse riding centres and themed routes, the audio guided tour of Cormeilles or the visit of the Busnel Distillery to learn more about Calvados making, etc. Holiday cottages, B&Bs, campsites, hotels and fine-dining restaurants all offer a warm welcome.
The Tourist Information Centre, awarded the "Tourism & Handicap" certification, is the place to go to look for information and advice. There, you will find an area with well-organized brochures, maps and guides, a play area for children, a shop and Internet access.
