Le Valégant Création

“Ironwork is the art of making something beautiful with metal, using cold welding or hot forging processes”. In Normandy, within reach of Paris, Christian Le Valégant's creations are unique and handmade. His grandfather, Gaston Desdoigts, was the last blacksmith in Dreux, the artist's birthplace. It must have been while watching him work for hours on end that his passion for forging grew. He humbly tries to keep alive this family know-how. Christian displays and sells all sorts of original creations in his workshop: gates, stairs, indoor and outdoor furniture, lights, and decorative items. He works in his workshop or on the work site. Object restoration.
Guided tour of the workshop available including a forging demonstration (30 to 40 minutes), presentation of the various materials and tools and then of completed objects.
Le Valégant Création takes also part in numerous events (exhibitions, trade fairs, festivals, etc.).
