Gisors, the capital of Vexin Normand, boasts an impressive medieval castle built at the end of the 11th century by the son of William the Conqueror. Legend has it that it houses the treasure of the Templars. Its park is freely accessible all year round, and a "Bike Welcome" point is open at the tourist office located at the foot of the castle. Don’t miss the Saint-Gervais-Saint-Protais church with its cathedral-like dimensions. It is freely open. Leaving Gisors, on small roads, you pass by the Ballastière ponds and the Manor of the Vaux Farm. Between the villages of Bézu-Saint-Éloi and Bernouville, you will follow the Levrière, a charming trout river, before crossing the cereal plains of Vexin Normand to Étrépagny. At this stage, take a break to discover the former Dominican convent, remarkably restored. It now houses a splendid media library in the heart of a wooded park.
