Nicknamed the "crazy river," the Iton with its winding and sometimes surprising course will take you on a journey.
Starting from Acquigny, discover washhouses and mills that harken back to the industrial era. After this trip into the past, have a picnic stop on the magnificent wooded hillsides. You'll catch sight of your next stop: Evreux. Park your bike to stroll through the historic streets and visit the Gothic cathedral. After this city break, continue your ride and watch the Iton disappear underground for a few kilometers. In Conches-en-Ouche, enter via Rue des Moulins and admire the medieval keep overlooking the citadel. To finish your excursion, take the old railway line and head to La Ferrière-sur-Risle. This charming village will welcome you with its half-timbered houses, a typical Normandy construction.
